This rug is a unique piece of world art that will enhance your living space. Sarouk rugs were produced in the Arak region of Iran made with traditional allover designs or symmetrical floral patterns. The knot count per square inch for this rug is 100. The rug is 100 percent wool with vegetable dyes. The pile height is 0.25 inches. Colors include burgundy navy blue red green gold and tan.Story Behind the Art:This rug’s design originated in the Sarouk region of Iran however this particular rug was made by the village weavers in the Bhadohi village in the Varanasi province of India. Due to the handmade nature of our rugs the size may vary from as advertised by 3-4 inches. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your rug looking new for years to come. Worldstock has given us the opportunity to create jobs for over 2000 local village weavers which helps them to greatly support their families. The majority of the weavers are women who live in the villages of Afghanistan Pakistan and India. As we grow with Worldstock we are able to create more jobs for female weavers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so.
